About the Academy

FLAGSHIP EVENTS
- As a new participant, your company will receive invitations to UN Global Compact flagship events, global programmatic gatherings and UN side-events, including the annual UN Global Compact Leaders Summit and Uniting Business regional events. Invitations will be sent to your company's designated contact points.
ACCELERATORS - UN Global Compact Accelerators are multi-month development programmes that help participating companies embed SDG-aligned practices deep into business operations to accelerate progress and impact for the 2030 Agenda. Run in close collaboration with Global Compact Country Networks, our Accelerators are designed to deliver concrete company-specific outcomes.
SCIENCE BASED TARGETS INITIATIVE - Lead the way to a zero-carbon economy, boost innovation and drive sustainable growth by setting ambitious, science-based emissions reduction targets through our partner Science-based Targets initiative (SBTi).
ENDORSE THE WEP`s - The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) provide a holistic framework for companies to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community and drive positive outcomes for society and business.
Principles-based approach
The Ten Principles and their four pillars of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption represent the fundamental values that anchor business action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDG leadership requires setting ambitious goals and targets that go beyond incremental progress and towards the transformational change needed to achieve the 2030 Agenda. These goals need to be grounded in the Ten Principles to ensure companies are not undermining their own efforts towards achieving the 2030 Agenda.
